The reason for the schedule and time change for the classes is so that we will be able to have “in person” classes for all our students with the proper Covid 19 Directives. We are trying to make different plans for whatever eventualities may come our way in the Fall. We ask that you please be patient with us as we move forward with our Faith Formation Program. It is important for children in all grades to be registered for Religion Education Classes as soon as possible. You can do it online by going to our website and clicking online giving, in the Rectory or by calling our Religious Education Secretary Carmela Emerson at (401) 231-3542. Books are expensive; we do not want to buy more than what we need. Thank you sincerely for your cooperation and understanding.
VOLUNTEERING
If you would like to volunteer with our Religious Education program, please leave your contact information with the parish office @ 401-231-3542. Our Religious Education Director for Grades 1-6, Bill Kirejczyk, will contact you. Volunteers, especially parents, who practice their faith and are able to effectively share the knowledge of their faith with our young parishioners, are always welcome in our program. We like to keep our parishioners involved and volunteering with the Religious Education Program.
In order to ensure that all young people in our parish come to know God and His Church in a safe and appropriate setting, all volunteers must submit to and successfully complete a criminal background check paid for by the parish, and undergo Safe Environment Training as mandated by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and in cooperation with the Diocese of Providence Office of Education and Compliance.
