GENERAL INFORMATION

Our program is a one day a week program that emphasizes belonging within the church as well as involvement in safe and fun activities with the church.  We welcome all new parishioners with open arms and encourage our students to become involved in parish activity.

We also have implemented a Youth Ministry program that will be conjoined with the Confirmation program.   Our goal is that the Youth Ministry will keep the young people of our parish involved following their Confirmation and give them a fun and interesting group where social interaction and community service will be on the agenda.  For more information on our Youth Ministry program, please call the rectory.

Classes are held on Monday (Grade 5 & 6), Tuesday (Grade 1 & 2), Wednesday (Grade 3 & 4) and Confirmation classes are always held on Sundays (Grade 7, 8 & 9).  The class run from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Monday - Wednesday.  Confirmation classes will be from 5:45 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. with occasional Youth Ministry nights running from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

If you would like to register for classes, please visit our call the rectory.  A copy of the student's Baptism certificate will be needed (unless they were baptized at Mary, Mother of Mankind or St. Lawrence) in order for your child to attend classes.  Please send us the copy through the mail, by dropping it off or by faxing it to the Rectory.  If you are unable to make a copy, please bring the certificate to the office and we will make a copy.

If you have any question about our program, you can call the rectory for immediate information.

VOlunteering

If you would like to volunteer with our Religious Education program, please contact William Kirejczyk, our Religious Education Director for Grades 1-6. Volunteers, especially parents, are always welcome in our program.  We like to keep our parishioners involved and volunteering with the Religious Education Program.  Volunteers will be put on a "trial" period to make sure that they work well with kids as well as with our program.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

If your child is not registered, they will not be able to attend that first class. After they have registered, they will be able to attend classes regularly. New parishioners are encouraged, if possible, to bring a copy of their baptismal certificate if we do not have a copy already.  We are able to make copies here if need be.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

For one student, the fee will be $35.00 (+$7.00 late fee).

For a family, two or more students, the fee will be $60.00 (+$7.00 late fee per child).

If you are not a registered parishioner, you must be registered in the parish prior to us taking your child's religious education information.  Late fee exceptions can be made for new parishioners who were unaware of the deadline.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Students will come into the hall (located at the back of the church) for classes and will exit at the front of the church.  No student will be left alone after classes are over and will be watched until the parent or guardian can pick them up.
