We are rapidly approaching our 50th Anniversary Celebration. What we are looking for is “old” photos from years ago that we might be able to publish in the Anniversary Booklet. If you have some, please put them in an envelope and put your name and address on the envelope and explain what the photo (s) are and who might be in them.
We will get the photos back to you.
50th Anniversary Celebration
As you know, Mike Montecalvo of Channel 12 News will be conducting an auction at our 50th Anniversary luncheon. Although this event is not meant to be a fundraiser, our goal is to cover all expenses through the sale of tickets, the anniversary booklet and the auction.
A percentage of the profit we make will be donated to The Holy Family Home for homeless women and their children, an initiative of St. Anthony Parish in North Providence.
One couple in our parish, who wish to be anonymous, has donated the use of their condominium in Florida for a week’s vacation as an auction item, valued at $1,500—$2,000. We thank them for their generous gift. We also have another offer of Bruins tickets. If you have any other ideas or items you can offer, or if you have any contacts for such items, please contact the rectory.
You may purchase tickets for the luncheon at the Kirkbrae Country Club or by contacting the rectory.
The date set for our 50th Anniversary Celebration is October 1, 2017. Bishop Tobin will be present as the celebrant for the 10:30 am Mass and the luncheon is at 12:30 pm.
