2018 Catholic Charity Appeal

Next weekend John Barry, the Diocese Secretary of Catholic Charities and Social Ministry, will be with us to assist us in “kicking-off” the Catholic Charity Fund Appeal.

John has been serving in this ministry for over 40 years and he always inspires us with a heartwarming witness which helps to put a human face on the Fund Appeal.

Please join me in welcoming him once again to our parish!

At the Catholic Youth Ministry and Scout Awards Celebration held at the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul in Providence on Sunday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m.,

our parishioner Alex DaSilva will be honored and presented the St. Timothy Award.

LENTEN FAST AND ABSTINENCE REGULATIONS

Ash Wednesday and the Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence from meat (for those 14 and older). Also Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are fast days (for those between the ages of 18 and 59). No solid foods are eaten between meals and only one full meal is consumed. Those who are seriously ill are excused from these regulations.
